5) (i) A and B can finish a piece of work alone in 10 days and 15 days respectively. If they work together, how much of the work can they finish in 1 day and how many days will they take to finish the work?

(ii) A and B work together but A leaves the job after 2 days. How much of the work is still left?

Please solve both 1 and 2​

Answer:

A's 1 day work = 1/10

B's 1 day work = 1/15

(A+B)'s 1 day work = 1/10 + 1/15

= 3+2/30 = 5/30

= 1/6

Both A and B together can finish the work in = 6 days.
