5. I buy a T. V. for 10,000 and sell it at a profit of 20%. How much money do I get for
it?
6. Juhi sells a washing machine for 13,500. She loses 20% in the bargain. What was
the price at which she bought it?
7. (1) Chalk contains calcium, carbon and oxygen in the ratio 10:3:12. Find the percentage
of carbon in chalk.
(ii) If in a stick of chalk, carbon is 3g, what is the weight of the chalk stick?​

5.) Cost price of TV —> 10000
Profit % on selling —> 20%
So, selling price (SP) = 120% of 10000
=> SP=120/100*10000
=12000

6.)Selling Price (SP) = 13,500
Loss % = 20%
So, SP=80% of Cost price
=> 13,500=80/100 of cost price
Let cost price be 'X'
13,500=80/100*X
=>X=13,500*100/80
=>X=16875
