5. Identify A and B. :-

A is the quantity which is measured by the area occupied below the velocity-time graph. B is the type of motion of distance time graph is a straight line with some slope.

i) A is distance and B is uniform motion

ii) A is time and B is non uniform motion

iii) A is distance and B is non-uniform motion

iv) A is velocity and B is uniform motion

Correct answer with some explanation (1-2 lines) is required.

: Area occupied below the velocity-time graphis a measure of the distance travelled by the body or displacement of the body.

  • A = Magnitude of Displacement, here, Distance.

This is because in a velocity time graph, the area under the graph is regarded as the magnitude of Displacement. But here it can also be distance.

  • B = Uniform motion.

During a uniform motion, a particle travells equal distance in equal amounts of time. That means, the graph will be a straight line.

None of the above are correct.
