Explanation :-

Given :-

  • A and B are two sets.
  • n(AUB) = 275
  • n(AnB) = 150
  • n(B) = 175

To Find :-

  • The value of n(A).

Solution :-

As we know that,

n(AUB) + n(AnB) = n(A) + n(B)

[ Put the values ]

=> 275 + 150 = n(A) + 175

=> 425 = n(A) + 175

=> n(A) = 425 - 175

=> n(A) = 250

Hence,

  • The value of n(A) is 250.

Verification :-

n(AUB) + n(AnB) = n(A) + n(B)

[ Put the values ]

=> 275 + 150 = 250 + 175

=> 425 = 425

Hence Verified !!
