Sum of the given numbers = 6+y+7+14+x= 27+x+y

Total Number of Numbers = 5

$\tt \large{mean \: = \: \: \frac{27 + x + y}{5} }$

$\large \tt \frac{27 + x + y}{5} = 8$

$\tt27 + x + y = 8 \times 5$

$\tt27 + x + y = 40$

$\tt{x + y = 40 - 27}$
