Principal (P)=1200

Interest (SI)= 480

Rate (R)= 10

Therefore using the formula

SI= (P×R×T)/100

=> 480= (1200×10×T)/100

On further calculation,

=> 480= 120×T

=> 480/120 = T

Therefore the time=4 years.

Answer:

Interest=(prinicipal x time x rate of interest)/100

480      =1200 x t x 10/100

48000 =12000 x t

48000/12000  =t

48/12    =t

4           =t

thus time= 4 years
