5. If Q varies directly as P and Q = 28 when P = 4, then
(a) write an equation connecting P and Q;
(b) find the value of Q when P = 5; and
(c) find the value of P when Q = 42.​

a) Q=7 P (i)

Q=28 and P=4 (given)

Substituting this values we get,

28=7x4

28 =28

So, LHS =RHS

b) P=5(given)

Substituting in equation (i)

Q=7 X5

Q=35

c ) Q = 42

substituting in equation (i)

42= 7P

p \:  =  \frac{42}{7}

P = 6
