No. of sheets :-               12                                      x                                   Weight of sheets ( in grams ) - 40                           3000 grams or 3kg

So , this is direct variation = 12 = 40 =  x / 3000

= 12 * 3000 / 40 = x

= 36 , 000 / 40 = x

= 900 = x

Hence 900 sheets of the same paper weigh 3kg ( 3000 grams )
