If there is more than one speaker, then it shall be noted as  b) Speaker 1, Speaker 2, et cetera. If you can distinguish a speaker's role in the conversation you should make it as descriptive as possible

  • While writing dialogues or a conversation, when there are more than one person playing a minor role, than they can be referred to as person 1, person 2 etc. In the above case, as the person is a speaker hence, you will refer to it as speaker 1 and speaker 2.
  • However, if the roles can be distinguished by any means, you should distinguish them.
  • Based on the above understanding, the best option to choose is b) Speaker 1, Speaker 2, et cetera. If you can distinguish a speaker's role in the conversation you should make it as descriptive as possible.
