x =2 -a. (1st equation)

y =2 +a. ( 2 equation)

3x-2y=6

3(2-a)-2(2+a)=6

6-a-4-a

-2a=-6-4

-2a=-10

a=5 (1)

put 1 in first equation

x=2-5

x=-3

put in 2 equation

y=2+5

y=7
