Explanation:

The first week in August, Diane and I traveled south for a week. One of the primary objectives of our trip was to visit the remaining two of Diane’s aging aunts.

We took with us three of our grandchildren who enjoyed interacting with their Mississippi cousins. During our stay, Diane was able to see many relatives whom she had not seen in years.

For some time, one of our granddaughters had been asking Diane about information of a Native American relative on her side of the family. It was possible that one of Diane’s aunts had the answer to the question. The aunt on her mother’s side confirmed there were no Native Americans on her side of the family. The aunt on her father’s side had information that might help to identify the relative with a little more digging.
