5 In a class of 35 students the number of girls
is 5/6 times the number of boys. Find the
number of boys and girls in the class.

Answer:

Let x be number of boys and y be number of girls

It is given x+y= 35

y=(5/6)x

put this value of y in equation x+y=35

x+(5/6)x=35

(11/6)x=35

x=35×6/11

It comes in fraction which is not possible
