minutes Jarina asks phani “Don't you think ABCD
is a square?” Phani disagrees.
Using distance formula, find which of them is correct.

all the boxes are square , let the length of diagonal of each square be x and their side be y units.

Now the distance between each student at A,B,C and D is 3x units therefore ABCD is a quadrilateral with all four sides equal = 3x , now it may be square or a rhombus.

Now we see the diagonals of ABCD quadrilateral are also equal = 6y.

Therfore a quadrilateral whose all four sides are equal with equal diagonals is known as square.

Hence ABCD is a square
