5. In a school, the sum of the ages of 33 people, i.e., students, teachers and peons is 792. If the age of each student, each teacher and each peon be 1 year, 6 years and 3 years more, then the average age of the whole staff would have been 3 years more. If the number of teachers is a square root of a two digit number, which is also a perfect cube, then the number of peons is (1) 9 (2) 13 (3) 15 (4) 18

Answer:

13

Step-by-step explanation

Let No of students, teachers and peons are x, y, and z

therefore x+y+z = 33

No of techers among the perfect cubes 1, 8 and 27 (within 33 numbers) will be 8, as it is the root of the two digit number

Again for 1 day increment of X students, total increment = x days

Similalrly, for 6 days increment for y teachers, total increment=6y days

and for 3 days increment for z peons, total increment = 3z days

Acoonding to the condition given

x + 6y +3z/Total no of people = 3

i.e. x + 6y +3z/x+y+z = 3   or x+6y+3z=3x+3y+3z

or 2x =3y

2x=3 x 8 (y=8)  or x=12

Therefore, no of peons will be =33-(12+8) =13
