Answer :

Ther are total 400 students

step by step explanation :

  • 220 students passed in a both subjects
  • x is the percentage of students passed in a both subjects
  • total = 100 %
  • passed students = ( 100 - 5 ( failed students) ) % = 95 %
  • 95 % is the passed students
  • So , passed students in a both subjects is x
  • So , ( 70 + 80 - 95 ) = 55 %
  • Now x = 55 %
  • 55 % of total students = 220
  • 55 / 100 × total students = 220
  • total students = 220 × 100 / 55
  • total students = 400
  • there were total 400 students
