5. In the adjoining figure, ABCD is a parallelogram
whose two adjacent sides are 6 cm and 4 cm.
If the height corresponding to the base AB is
3 cm, find:
(i) the area of parallelogram ABCD
(ii) the height corresponding to the base AD. ​

Answer:

a. area of parallelogram=base*height

=6*3

=18 cm square

b. area of parallelogram=base*height

taking AD as base

18 cm square= 4*X

X =18/4

=4.5 cm
