  • in triangle ABC

exterior ang x = ang A+ang B (exterior angle is equal to some of interior opposite angles)

=40°+15°

ang x=55°

  • in triangle ECD

exterior ang y = ang x + ang D(same reason)

= 55°+52°

ang y =107°

Answer:

x = 55° and y = 107°

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that,

In ΔABC,

∠A = 15°

∠B = 40°

also,

In ΔECD,

∠D = 52°

Now, we know that,

By Exterior Angle Theorem,

Sum of the two interior angles will be equal to its exterior angle.

∴ x = ∠A + ∠B

x = 15° + 40°

x = 55°

Similarly,

By Exterior Angle Theorem,

y = x + ∠D

y = 55° + 52°

y = 107°

Thus, x = 55° and y = 107°

Hope it helped and you understood it........All the best
