Input devices
1. Scanner
scanners are used to enter information directly in to the computers memory. This device works like a Xerox machine. The scanner converts any type of printed or written information including photographs into digital pulses, which can be manipulated by the computer.
2. Light pen
Used to draw lines or figures on a computer screen. It's touched on CRT screen where it can detect raster on the screen as it passes.
3. Microphone
It is uesd to take sound as input. We connect it with the jack port of the computer system at the front or rear panel of the system.
4. MICR (Magnetic Ink Character reader/ Recognizer )
It is used to read magnetic characters from a page like on a blank cheque.
5. Joystick
This device used to give an input to the computer system. It is mostly used in game application.
Output devices

It print text document, images, spread sheet, etc as hard copy.
2. speaker
It is used to play a sound as output. It is a multimedia device used to play or listen sound or music.
3. Projector
It contains a lens inside which is used to flash film to an object.
4. Plotter
It is used to produce graphical output on paper. It uses single colour or multicolour pens to draw pictures like as blue print.

It displays the data or information.
