In spite of freedom of religion, communal tension persists in certain parts of the country sometimes because of harming or harassing the principles of religion. A place where both Temple, as well as Mosque, is located acts as the combining place of people who follow two different religious principles.

I believe most of the times, the communal tension is induced again & again by politically motivated people who think that such a tension would lead to a division that will directly help them in elections.

The other reason for such tension is any particular community or few notorious people wanting to gain an upper hand so as to achieve what they want, position of power & reverence. Religion is one of ideologies that are personal & close to people. Majority of a particular community provides them assurance of the number & they want to retain that number over years as well. This is one of the reasons why masses find themselves influenced by such tensions & propositions from time to time because they believe them being in power will make them better, prosperous, ruler and above others they don’t like.

Communal tensions do nothing but create divide & widen them over time, which directly benefits those who thrive over this division only. A common man who has nothing to gain is least likely to involve himself or herself in such tensions.

It has nothing to do with the fact that we have freedom of religion granted by the Constitution of India. It’s all about the power for which masses are used.
