no, we cant say india to be a democratic country as although the rts are being provided for all, but do u think that all citizens are fulfilled with all the rts. we can still see a major gap or discrimination between poor and rich people.

poor people are not getting their rts to vote and if they are voting than that also to that representative who belongs to his/her caste this is simply bcause they r not educated.

we r saying that everyone is equal bfore law but is every individual citizen is equal. the answer is NO.

therefore we can say that india being given the name of a democratic country but it is actually not

Answer:

Yes, we may claim that India is a democratic nation for a variety of reasons, including the fact that it accords equality to all citizens, grants universal adult suffrage, protects press freedom, and allows for public comment on current government policy.

Explanation:

Because every citizen in India has the freedom to publicly voice their opinions, we may conclude that it is a democratic nation. In India, voters choose their representatives. India is a democratic nation since all of its residents enjoy equality and there is no form of discrimination there. A democracy is a form of government in which the rulers are chosen by the people. People chosen by the people must have the final say in all decisions in a democracy. Following winning independence from Britain in 1947, India developed democracy.

The right to vote and select their own leaders was subsequently provided to the people of India. All Indian people, regardless of caste, colour, creed, religion, or gender, are guaranteed the right to vote.
