Hey.
Here is the answer.
Total amount of adulterated rice = 5kg
stone = 2% of 5kg
or, stone = 0.02 of 5
or, stone = 0.1 kg
Since half of the stone is removed
so remaining stone = 0.1/2 kg = 0.05 kg
Total amount of adulterated rice = 5 kg - 0.05 kg
as half or 0.05 kg stone is removed
or, total = 4.95 kg
stone = 0.05 kg
% of Stone = 0.05/4.95 ×100
= 1.01 % of stone.
Thanks.
