Solution :

M * D * H =const

M = Machine

D = Days

H = Hours

so,

5 * 16 * 9 = 8 * D * 10

80 * D = 720

D = 9

so it takes 9 days

Hope that helps !!

9 days.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that, 5 machines are working on harvesting a farm and they work 9 hours each day and take 16 days to complete the work.

So, 5 machines can harvest a farm in (9 × 16) = 144 hours.

Therefore, 8 machines can harvest the same farm in \frac{144 \times 5}{8} = 90 hours.

Hence, if 8 machines work 10 hours each day, then within \frac{90}{10} = 9 days they will harvest that farm. (Answer)
