5. Mansi obtained 410 marks out of 500 in her half yearly examination while Neha, her friend got 534 marks out of 600 marks. Find whose performance is better?

First we will find the percentage of Mansi and Neha separately

Mansi

She scored 410 marks out of 500 marks

Now,

So, out of 500 marks , 410 marks is written as,

= $\frac{410}{500}$

We have to find the percentage of 410 marks of 500  marks

= $\frac{410}{500} \times 100$

= 82%

Neha

She scored 534 marks out of 600 marks

Now,

So, out of 600 marks, 534 marks is written as,

= $\frac{534}{600}$

We have to find the percentage of 534 marks of 600  marks

= $\frac{534}{600} \times 100$

= 89%

$\therefore$ Mansi got 82% and Neha got 89%

So,

Neha's percentage is greater than Mansi's percentage

Hence,

Neha performed better
