Let a triangle ABC whose base = 3 cm and leg = 4cm

According to Pythagoras theorem

(AB)^2 + (BC)^2 = (AC)^2

(4)^2 + (3)^2 = (AC )^2

16 + 9 =(AC)^2

5 = AC

Given r = 3 , l = 5

So, SA of cone is 22/7 × 3 ×5 + 22/7 × 9

= 330/7 + 198/7 = 528/7 = 75.428
