QUESTION:

  • 5 men and 10 boys can do a plece of work in 30 days and 8 men and 12 boys can do the work in 20 days then the ratio of daily work done by a man to that of boy

SOLUTION:

(9m+12b)×4=(4m+16b)×6

After simplifing this ratio efficiency of

Men : Boys=4:1

Total work=(9×4+12×1)×4=48×4

Total eff. Of 6 men=6×4=24

Total eff. Of 24 boys=24×1=24

Again men eff +boys eff=24+24 = 48

Work Will be completed by 4 * 48/48 =4 days
