Formula used :-

➳ Area of path inside the square is given by :-

☛ ( side of square )² - ( side of square - 2 * path )²

and,

➾ Cost of cementing = Area of path * Rate / m²

Solution :-

Given that side of Square is 100m and path width is 5m .

Putting value in above told formula we get,

Area of path = (100)² - (100 - 2*5)²

➺ Area of path = (100)² - (90)²

➺ Area of path = 10000 - 8100

➺ Area of path = 1900 m² .

So, Now,

Cost of cementing of 10m² is = Rs.250

➺ Cost of cementing of 1m² is = (250/10)

➺ Cost of cementing of 1900m² is = 1900 * 25 = 475,00

Hence, cost of cementing the path is ₹ 475,00 ...

Solution :

Given,

  • The side of the bigger square is 100 m

  • The length of the smaller square is 5 m

Firstly,

We need to find the side of smaller square : Side of Bigger Circle - 2 × Length

 \small \implies  \sf \:  100 - 2(5) \\  \\  \small \implies \sf{90 \: m}

Area of Remaining Path

Area of Bigger Square - Area of Smaller Circle

→ 100² - 90²

→ (100 + 90)(100 - 90)

→ 1900 m²

The area of remaining path is 1900m²

» cost of cementing 1m² would be 25 rupees

Cost of cementing 1900 m² would be :
