It has given that 5 millions of electrons are moving between two points within an electric field. work done by the electrons is 50 Joule.

To find : potential difference between A and B.

solution : total charge = 50 millions electrons × charge on each electron

= 5 × 10⁶ × 1.6 × 10^-19 C

= 8 × 10¯¹³ C

now work done by the electrons = total charge × potential difference between A and B

⇒50 J = 8 × 10¯¹³ × ∆V

⇒50/8 × 10¹³ = ∆V

⇒∆V = 6.25 × 10¹³ Volts

Therefore the potential difference between A and B is 6.25 × 10¹³ volts.
