5 minutes speech on unemployment

Dear friends,  I am very happy to give a speech on a very important topic such as unemployment.  This is the problem created by the modern man himself. Please listen to my view on this subject of national importance and ask me a question or two at the end. Okay, I will proceed now to my views on the topic.

Introduction:

     Unemployment is the state of an adult person being unemployed and not earning any money in any fashion.  In general, it is used to describe a person who is not having a regular job in the public sector or private sector or not having an self-employed monetary activity.

   Unemployment is a social problem, if the number of unemployed in a country is large, like more than 5%.  So it is a problem severity at state and national levels.  Unemployment in cities and rural areas or small towns are of different nature and impacts.  They must be solved and kept under control so that the development of the nation is not hampered.

Reason:

  A person or many persons remain unemployed when their qualifications

Impacts

  There are many impacts on the individual families and on the society as a whole at the community and national level.

Good morning respected Principal mam, worthy teachers, seniors and my dear friends. Today I, shreya of class 9th A, present here to deliver a short speech on the topic "Unemployment".


Unemployment is a big curse. Man is made for work. It has been said that "an Ideal brain is a devil's workshop". It is perfectly true. An idle man always thinks of one Mischief or other. Thus, an idle man is not only a burden to himself, but also positive danger to society.

Many people remain unemployed not because they want to remain unemployed, but because they have nothing useful to do. It is the duty of the government to open avenues of employment for various classes of people.

In our country, unemployment is growing increasingly among the educated middle class, schools and colleges are growing in number and every year they turn out lakhs of graduates, who wander from door to door in search of jobs.

What is the cause of unemployment particularly among the educated people?

The answer lies in the defective system of education. Modern education teaches people to detest manual labour, educated people can be nothing accept table work, they looked down upon business or other professions involving manual labour.

Thus, a solution of the problem lies mainly in the change of mentality of the educated people. When the educated people will come to realise that independent work is better than any service, the problem of unemployment would be solved to a great extent.

The government has started a very helpful institution for the benefit of unemployed people "The employment exchange" is doing good work in many big towns, many people have got employment through this employment exchanges.

Since independence our government has been making earnest efforts to open various avenues of employment. It has started many schools and institution to train educated person in various arts and trades.

It is encouraging cottage industries too. Certainly our government has gone a long way in providing employment to many, but still a long course remains to be covered.
