then by formula,

Rate of diffusion of oxygen / rate of diffusion of hydrogen

=

 \sqrt{(mass \: of \: hydrogen) \div (mass \: of \: oxygen)}

so,

so, rate of diffusion of O2 = 5/30 = 1/6

and rate of diffusion of H2 = x/60

so rate of diffusion of O2÷ rate of diffusion of H2

= 1/6 ÷ x/60 = 10/x

Thus 10/x =

 \sqrt{mass \: of \: hydrogen \:  \div  \: mass \: of \: oxygen}

so, 100/ x ² = 2/ 32

x²= 100× 32 /2

x²= 1600

x= 40 moles

so , 40 moles of hydrogen is diffused.
