Answer:

1/Rp = 1/R1 + 1/R2

1/Rp = 1/5 + 1/10

1/Rp = (2+1)/10

1/Rp = 3/10

Rp = 10/3 ohm

V = IR

20 = I 10/3

I = 6 A

Step-by-step explanation:

 \\  Here \:  R_{1} = 5Ω \:  \:  \: R_{2} = 15Ω \:  \: V=20V\\  \frac{1}{R}  =   \frac{1}{R_{1}}  +    \frac{1}{R_{2}}  \\\\= \frac{1}{5}  +  \frac{1}{10}    \:  \:  \:\\ \\  =  \frac{3}{10}\\ \\ R =  \frac{10}{3} Ω = 3.34Ω \\  \\ current\:  I=  \frac{V}{R}  =  \frac{20}{3.34}  = 6A
