the estimated number of papers delivered in a year is (I) 20,000

GIVEN:

Number of papers delivers in 1 week = 405

TO FIND:

Total number of papers delivered in 1 year

SOLUTION:

We can simply solve the problem as under;

Papers delivered by pankaj in one week = 405

we know that,

In 1 year = 52 weeks.

Number of papers delivered in 1 year = 405 × 52 = 21,060

Now to estimate the number.

We will find the digit at ten thousandth place = 2 in 21060

Now, if the digit on the exact right of the ten thousand place, Round it up is greater than or equal to 5 and round down if it is less than 5

1 in 21060

Since the digit is less than 5 we will keep the the digit at ten thousandth place as it is.

Now, all the digit at the right will be 0

So the estimate value of 21,060 is 20,000

Hence ,the the estimate numbers of papers delivered in a year is (I) 20,000
