7 pencil+ 5 pens = ₹46 _____(ii)

After adding (i) and (ii), we will get,

12pencils+ 12 pens = ₹96

12(pencil+pen) = ₹96

Pencil + Pen = ₹8

Therefore,

The cost of one pencil and one pen is ₹ 8.
