Following are the five differences between roughage and concentrates :-

1.. Roughage is simply reffered to as dietary fibres. It is an indigestivle part of the food obtained from plants. Roughage is rich in fibres.

Concentrates contain less fibres.

2..They do not provide any nutrients to our body but play an essential part of a healthy diet. It is effective in preventing constipation.

Concentrated contain a relatively high amount of proteins and other nutrients.

3.. Roughages are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Concentrates are rich in proteins.

4.. Roughages aren't highly digestive.

5.. Roughage is directly obtained from plant materials and is not redefined artificially

A concentrate is a form of substance which has had the majority of its base component (in the case of a liquid: the solvent) removed.
