the stomach is a part of the human digestive system. it is the widest organ of digestive system (30cm). in stomach mucous, hcl and pepsin is released. the mucous protects the inner lining of the stomach from hcl, hcl helps in making the food acidic and kill the microorganisms that enter in our body through digestive tract. pepsin helps in the breakdown of glucose into amino acids.
