Ans.
Function of Supreme Court:-
The Supreme Court functions as a last resort tribunal. Its rulings cannot be appealed. It also decides on cases dealing with the interpretation of the constitution (for example, it can overturn a law passed by Congress if it deems it unconstitutional).
The Supreme Court has a special role to play in the United States system of government. The Constitution gives it the power to check, if necessary, the actions of the President and Congress. It can tell a President that his actions are not allowed by the Constitution
Each State has a High Court. The Supreme Court of India (SCI), which is the highest courtof appeal in India has played a very significant role in interpreting the Constitution and in maintaining a just and fair balance between the rights of citizens/persons and the requirements of the State.
The Supreme Court is important because it rules on cases that affect many aspects of our lives. ... All of these issues have been impacted by Supreme Court decisions. While its official duty is to interpret laws through the Constitution, this can take many forms.
