Pradeep spends 40% of his salary on food items. 50%  of the remaining spends on clothing and  transportation. He saves 1/3 after all expenses. If he  saves 19200 yearly then calculate his monthly income.

1) Rs. 24,000

2 ) Rs. 12,000

3) Rs. 16,000

4) Rs. 20,000

5) None of these

║⊕ANSWER⊕║

Food items = 40%

Clothes + conveyance = 50% of 60%

                                      = 30%

⇒ Remaining amount = (100 - 40 - 30)%

                                      = 30%

∴ 1/3 of 30% = 19200

⇒ 10% = 19200

∴ 100% = Rs. 192000

So his monthly income = 192000 / 12

                                        = 16000 Rs.

∴Option 3 is your answer

Answer:

3.16000

Step-by-step explanation:

let the total salary in one year be x

pradeep spends 40%of his salary=40/100*x=2x/5

pradeep spends 50% of his salary =50/100*x=x/2

THE A.T.Q

X-(2X/5+X/2)=19200

X-(9X/10)=19200

X=19200*10

SO X =RS 192000

THEN HIS MONTHLY INCOME WILL BE 192000/12=16000
