Answer:

3 years 6 months

Step-by-step explanation:

A= P-I

85925 = 70000- x

x = 15925. S.I. = 15925

S.I. = (P × R × N) ÷ 100

15925 = (70000×6.5× N) ÷ 100

N= 15925 ÷ (650×7)

= 15925÷4550

= 3.5

Therefore, time period is 3.5 years

According to the information provided in the question.

It is stated in the preceding question that,

The presented information is Rahul Invested i.e. Principal amount P=Rs.70000

Rate of 6.5%

Rahul received Rs.85925

We need to find the period of investment.

As a result, the simple interest,

SI= Amount received- PI

SI=85925-70000\\=Rs15925

So,

SI=\frac{PRT}{100}\\SI\times 100=PRT\\\frac{SI\times 100}{PR}=T

Re arranging it we get,

T=\frac{SI\times 100}{PR}

Substituting the value in above equation we get,

T=\frac{15925\times 100}{70000\times 6.5} \\T=\frac{1592500}{455000}\\T=3.5years

Hence 3.5 years the period for which sum was invested by rahul.
