 {5}^{2x + 1}  \div  {5}^{2}  = 125 \\  \\  {5}^{2x + 1 - 2}  =  {5}^{3}  \\  \\ base \: are \: equal \:   so \: exponents  \\ \: are \:also \: equal \\  \\ 2x - 1 = 3 \\  \\ 2x = 4 \\  \\ x = 2

5^2x+1=5^5

2x+1=5

2x=5-1
2x=4

x=4/2 =2
