(12 marks) The Storm Written by: Juanita Newnes Illustrated by: Nakul Shinde The clouds in the sky look like cotton balls The wind blows them gently along The weather is pleasant, the fields are green The sudden dark shadow seems almost a bad dream. The rain pours down like a sheet of ice I quickly look around me in surprise The storm turns into a raging beast I am shivering and drenched from my head to my feet Before I can blink, the sudden storm Passes by and is gone blink in wonder at the warm sunlight And the clouds in the sky again all white what is the purpose of the poem
