let the given roots be alpha and beta respectively where alpha= 5 and beta = 4

now sum of roots= alpha+ beta = 5+4= 9

and, product of roots= alpha×beta = 5×4 =20

therefore, k[ x^2 -(alpha + beta)x + (alpha × beta)]

substituting the values -->>>

k( x^2 - 9x +20)
