Answer:

My Reindeer are very important to Mrs Claus and I, and along with my Elves they help me deliver millions of presents all around the world, but how much do you really know about them?

I’ve put together some Christmas Reindeer facts below so you can learn a little more about my trusty steeds.

What are the names of my most famous reindeers?

Many many years ago I only had eight Reindeer; Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen, until Rudolph was born with his very special nose. You can find out more about him below.

Now all nine Reindeer, with Rudolph leading the way, help me to deliver presents to millions of children worldwide on Christmas Eve!

When they’re back in Lapland they have lots of other Reindeer friends to play with too, so don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled no matter where you are in Lapland, as you might spot some more of my furry friends.

Rudolph's Very Special Nose

Rudolph is a very special Reindeer as he has a red shiny nose. At first the other Reindeer used to tease him because of his nose, however on one particularly foggy Christmas Eve, the reindeer kept getting lost as they couldn’t see their way.

I spotted Rudolph’s bright nose and asked him to lead the other Reindeer so they could follow his nose and light the way to help deliver all the Christmas presents. After this, the other Reindeer were happy and they are now best of friends with Rudolph.

You can have a magical Reindeer ride through the Lapland forest when you come to visit me. Keep an eye out for all my Reindeer.

How do my Reindeer prepare for their special journey on Christmas Eve?

My famous Reindeer are the best of the best and it takes lots of years of practice and hard work to train them for their special journey on Christmas Eve.

Before Christmas Eve, Mrs Claus prepares a big feast for everyone to enjoy including our Reindeer, as we can't fly around the world on an empty stomach.

Pulling a sleigh, filled with toys is no small feat. So despite all the training they go through, my Reindeer and I need a little bit of extra magic to make sure we have a successful trip!

The Reindeer are very much part of the family!

My Elves and I take a LOT of pride in all of our Reindeer, they are an important part of my family.

It takes a team to make sure everything goes according to plan not just on Christmas Eve, but all year round. The Reindeer are a very valuable part of that team, so they are cherished and loved by us. Without them, how else would we get around?

What do my Reindeer get up to the rest of the year?

Once we’ve delivered all of the presents my Reindeer need a well-earned rest, so it’s back to the Reindeer Centre to relax and enjoy some delicious treats.

They are then free to play with the other Reindeer in Lapland, of which there are plenty. They also help my Elves get everything ready for next year’s Christmas, including practicing sleigh rides, which you can enjoy when you come to Lapland.

Did you know that my Reindeer can live in the cold without needing to be kept warm inside? That’s because their noses actually warm the air before they breathe it in, amazing!

See what a Reindeer sleigh ride is like!

I can’t wait for you to come and meet me and my Reindeer.

In the meantime, watch this video to experience what a Reindeer sleigh ride is like.

Hope to see you soon.
