Let us suppose given number is rational then,

(√3+√5)²=(a/b)²

3+5+2√15=a²/b²

√15=1/2[a²/b²-8]

irrational can never be equal to rational our assumption that given number is rational is wrong

Therefore,√3+√5 is irrational

hence proved
