Answer:

1)   (i) x=1

        1(3-2+2)  =  3

    (ii) x= -1

         (-1)²(3-2(-1)+(-1)²)

         1(6) = 6

     (iii) x= -1/2

          (-1/2)² (3-2(-1/2) + (-1/2)²

          1/4 (4+1/4)   =   1/4 (17/4)    =  17/16

2) (5(2)(-1)) ((3(2)+4(-1)-7)) -3(-1) ((2)(-1)-4+9) - 8

   (-10)(-5)+3(3)-8

   50+1  = 51
