A) The cloth should be sold for Rs. 5300.

B) Ram sold the game for Rs. 1875

A)

length of cloth bought = 40m

Price paid for the cloth = 40 ×100

= Rs. 4000

Profit earned by the merchant = Rs. 1300

Profit= Selling price - Cost price

=> 1300 = S.P - 4000

=> S.P = Rs. 5300

The merchant should sell the cloth for Rs. 5300 to earn a profit of 1300.

B)

Cost price of the game = Rs. 2100

Loss = Rs. 225

Selling price = cost price - loss

=> S.P = 2100 - 225

=> Rs. 1875
