Answer:

a)6(x-5)=40

6x-30=40

6x=40-30

6x=10

x=10/6

x=10÷2/6÷2

=>x=5/3

b) 3x=22+7x

3x-7x=22

-4x=22

x= 22/-4

x= 22÷2/-4÷2

Answer:

6(x - 5) = 40 \\  =  > 6x - 30 = 40 \\  =  > 6 x = 40 + 30 \\ =  > 6x = 70 \\  =  > x =  \frac{70}{6}  \\  =  >   11.666666..... \:  or\:  \: 11.67

3x = 22 + 7x \\  =  >  - 22 = 7x - 3x \\  =  >  - 22 = 4x \\  =  > x =  -  \frac{22}{4}  \\  =  >  - 5.5(ans)
