Answer: Power, P = 2kw

Power, P = Work Done(W)

___________

Time Taken(T)

=W = P × T

For ever minute I.e 60's work done by the pump

is

W = 2 × 1000 × 60 = 12000J

Now this work is done in stored water as it is

potential energy. thus

mgh = 12000J
