5 State the functions of the following parts of the eye.
a. Pupil
b. Iris
c. Optic nerve d. Retina

  1. Pupil:
  • It is a dark hole present in he iris.
  • It allows the light to enter in eye.

2.Iris:

  • It is located behind the cornea.
  • It regulates the size of the pupil.

3.Optic nerve

  • It is located behind the retina.
  • It sents the image formed on the retina as electric impulse to the brain.

4.Retina

  • It is light sensory object located behind the crystalline lens.
  • Image is firstly formed on retina in the form of real and inverted than it is sent to brain via. optic nerve and than brain intprets the signals and converts the image in real and erect.

So these were the functions.
