or, 4x = 1400

or, x = 350

substituting value of x in equation 2 ,we get :

3x+2y = 1300

or, 3(350)+2y = 1300

or , 1050 +2y = 1300

or , 2y = 250

or, y = 125

so the cost of table is 350 and chair is 125
