The answer to this question is:

Nth term of ap is 6n+2

Therefore an =6n+2

Let n =1,2,3,4

If n equals 1 then a1=6+2=8

If n equals 2 then a2=12+2=14

If n equals 3 then a3 =18+2=20

Their common difference d=a3-a2=20–14=6

Therefore common difference is 6
