Given :-

Area of parallelogram = 60 cm²

Height of parallelogram = 5 cm

To find :-

Base of the parallelogram

Solution :-

Area = base × height

60 \:  {cm}^{2}  = base \times 5cm \\  base\:  =  \frac{60  \: {cm}^{2} }{5 \: cm}  \\  \\ base = 12 \: cm

Verifying it :-

If on finding the area with base 12 cm and height 5cm is equal to 60cm². Then the calculated base is correct.

Area = base × height

Area = 12 cm × 5 cm

Area = 60cm²

Therefore, our calculated answer is correct.

Answer :-

Base of the parallelogram is 12 cm.

Answer:

BASE LENGTH OF THE PARALLELOGRAM IS 12cm

Step-by-step explanation:

PARAMETERS GIVEN,

AREA OF THE PARALLELOGRAM = 60cm²

HEIGHT OF THE PARALLELOGRAM = 5cm

SO,

LET THE BASE LENGTH BE x

SO,

WE KNOW,

AREA OF PARALLELOGRAM = BASE LENGTH*HEIGHT

60cm² = x*5cm

x = 60cm²/5cm

x = 12cm

SO,

BASE LENGTH OF THE PARALLELOGRAM IS 12cm
